Topographical Surveys
ESI performs land surveys to determine topography using Real Time Kinematic (RTK) positioning, a satellite navigation technique used to enhance the precision of position data derived from satellite-based positioning systems such as GPS.
Grading and Earth Moving Plans
Using the data from the land survey, ESI develops electronic grading and earth moving plans for contractors.
General Oversight

Floodplain Elevation Certificates
FEMA establishes flood zones, geographical areas defined according to varying levels of flood risk. If construction is to be performed in a flood zone, structures can be built above this elevation to avoid the requirement of flood insurance. ESI confirms the area to be removed from the flood zone through floodplain elevation certificates, which are stamped by a registered engineer.
